Hoping for Despair

Hope is a good thing.
Even on second thoughts its a good thing. Its a reasonable motivation behind a lot of things we do. Want to do. Plan to do. Do not do.
Beauty emanates from hope. The twinkle of a hopeful eye is blissful.

What if one hoped for hope to go away? If living with such hope was undesirable. Unbearable. Painful. Maybe its just a false hope. Hope nonetheless. Still good. Still beautiful.

Would hoping for despair still be as beautiful? Would that be a fair trade? Not strip the world of its beauty?

What will remain if the hope for despair comes true?

Dual idling

Duality takes on a lot of meanings, some useful, some maybe not so much. Sometimes its strange how something can be interesting and boring at the same time. This came to me when the optimization professor in class introduced duality. As boring as the class turned out to be, what struck me seemed like an interesting analogy. It goes as below:

'As far as love and optimization are concerned, when the primal is not solvable the dual just makes matters worse'

Students of optimization?
you can relate to the supposedly 'dual' emotions.

Lucky in love?
this is definitely way more logically sound.

Stuck with both?
I hope you had a solvable primal.

Inexperienced either ways?
Peace.

Keep learning!
