Duality takes on a lot of meanings, some useful, some maybe not so much. Sometimes its strange how something can be interesting and boring at the same time. This came to me when the optimization professor in class introduced duality. As boring as the class turned out to be, what struck me seemed like an interesting analogy. It goes as below:
'As far as love and optimization are concerned, when the primal is not solvable the dual just makes matters worse'
Students of optimization?
you can relate to the supposedly 'dual' emotions.
Lucky in love?
this is definitely way more logically sound.
Stuck with both?
I hope you had a solvable primal.
Inexperienced either ways?
